1338 Howe Ave Sacramento, Ca 95825 916-927-0542 341 Iron Point Rd Folsom, Ca 95630 916-353-1982 With more than four generations of family in the jewelry business, Mahmud Sharif knows the industry like no one else in the local area. As a child, Sharif worked with his father in the trade and started the store he now owns as a side-business to support his education. But, the love of the business was in his blood. By the time he completed an engineering degree, he knew that precious stones, not precision mathematics, were his chosen career. That was more than 20 years ago. Today, Mahmud Sharif and his brother Hazem have two retail stores frequented by connoisseurs from as far away as San Francisco. Adding to their reputation for quality, Sharif Jewelers carry the largest selection of gems available in the area, including loose diamonds of up to 15 carats. Custom work is one of their specialties. Sharif also has a fully staffed service department to make sure their customers' jewelry retains its beauty. Many customers routinely take off their jewelry to have it inspected as they walk in the store. The shops also offer Turkish coffee, mint tea and sweets that embody the friendly atmosphere of the Sharif experience. Customers feel so comfortable that many have relied on Sharif Jewelers for two and three generations. In addition to their custom work, Sharif also carries fine designer lines, such as Ritani, Prisma Express, Tycoon, and Kattan of Beverly Hills - just to name a few.
